Picking UP
To catch up:
My sister, Patti worked hard in her recovery. Providence obviously has more for her to do on earth. She is a role model for many people, male and female alike.
Today, she is back recovering from what will hopefully be her last surgery. Since the last time I wrote here she has had a colostomy bag and dealt with that with grace. She should be bag free upon recovery.
Patti has many following friends on face book and with military sites. Many people are praying for her. There is no end other than her recovery.

You're It!
Sure, we could all say "circumstantial". Let's say random opportunities to serve and be served are random circumstances--I am still glad they happen. Personally, I do not believe these circumstances to be "coincidental". I believe our paths are Directed when we Yield to Direction. I also believe the more we yield, the more interesting, rewarding, and comical our lives become.
Some fun examples:
I am used for someone else:
One day I was standing behind an elderly woman check out at the Dollar Store. She came up $4 short. I have been there and it is embarrassing. It just happened I had $4 extra that day. She started putting her stuff back. No way! "I've got it." She just looked at me surprised, and said, "no, no." I said, "yes, yes. My momma taught me to never turn away someones opportunity to help. You don't want to take my blessing, do you?" Now, I had not planned to do that, but I was prepared with $4 extra dollars. The timing, when you think about it is totally awesome. I could have chosen a different store, or been somewhere else in the store. But, thank God--I was in the right place at the right time.
Someone else is used for my benefit:
I still don't know how this happened. I had been running errands in Bay St. Louis. A couple of miles away I get a phone call. The caller asked my name and said, are you missing a black wallet?
"I don't know, let me check." Sure enough my wallet with credit cards and ID was missing. These people were vacationers who just happened to be driving down the highway and noticed my small black wallet, then noticed the credit cards and ID's scattered down the highway. I still do not know how they did it safely, but they gathered all and returned to me. Talk about these folks being in the right place at the right time! I was Providentially impressed!
More later. Please share some of your Providential Tales.
Good Morning!
I am so grateful and appreciative of the many people who have been praying for her. Some people think, "if you pray once, its a done deal if you have faith." Well, I still hope that folks will continue praying because things change.
My prayer is this, "Heavenly Father, I adore you. I thank you so much for your obvious presence in our lives, and for the people you send to minister. I praise and glorify Jesus for Patti's recovery and that you have promised you will not give her more than she can bear. I thank you that I will see her being healthy and feeling healthy. I am grateful and thank you that I was able to visit Patti, mother, nephews--Jonathan and Mike. Thank you for adding spice to my life by all the interesting people I have encountered along the way. As I sit outside on a gloriously beautiful day, I thank you for my life and for the awesome creation of the air, sky, singing birds, wandering squirrels--and even those irritating barking dogs. Please guide my steps and my mind today, Lord, so that I may bless others and be that missing piece of the puzzle, appearing at the right place at the right time." Amen.
I picked up a random church bulletin:-). This one is dated May 4, 2008. The title is, "YOU might have to help..." These were my sparse notes (I must have been listening more than taking notes)
- Anything that does not effect your destiny is your choice.
- God is not offended when we apply reason and use intellect.
For some reason I noted these keys:
*Balance
*History Effects Destiny
In closing, Glory to God for another awesome day as an earth bound traveler:-)

God Connecting the Dots|Morning Glory
I am so grateful that I am a Christian, and that I can count on God to direct my steps and put me in the right place at the right time. "Trust in the lord with all your heart lean not on your own understanding, in all your way acknowledge him and he will make your path strait. -Proverbs 3:5-6".
TIMES AND SEASONS
1 There is an appointed time for everything. And there is a time for every event under heaven
2 A time to give birth and a time to die;
A time to plant and a time to uproot what is planted.
3 A time to kill and a time to heal;
A time to tear down and a time to build up.
4 A time to weep and a time to laugh;
A time to mourn and a time to dance.
5 A time to throw stones and a time to gather stones;
A time to embrace and a time to shun embracing.
6 A time to search and a time to give up as lost;
A time to keep and a time to throw away.
7 A time to tear apart and a time to sew together;
A time to be silent and a time to speak.
8 A time to love and a time to hate;
A time for war and a time for peace. (Ecclesiastes 3:1-8).
(One of these days I will tell you how this scripture got me Fired from a job:-) ...Oh well, there must have been something better in the plans:-)
I am "down on my knees" Grateful that over a year ago God's "Providence" physically directed my steps to meet the Pastoring Couple of Grace Fellowship Church.
Ok--time to begin. I could sit here Forever being grateful. Sometimes you have to move on... I say this smiling now, because I know God is with me, even on this thought.
First, before going any further and because I may not finish this post today--I want my church membership and pastors to know that my sister is much improved. I have introduced her to you via internet and some of the photos I have taken at church gatherings. Thank you for being ready to step up to the plate should Skye need you at a time that my husband and son cannot help her with a need she may have. Knowing you are there gave me confidence to be here for my sister. I believe my presence, Praise God, has made a difference of some kind.
...ALWAYS more later.

Fight For What Belongs To You-Bulletin
Before I start working each morning my goal is to start with this Blog as my devotional--actually my devotional starts with my morning walk and lasts through out the day; but this spot will be my special place to orient positively and assure that I contemplate the WORD in some way.
Let's start with Grace Fellowships bulletin from June 15, 2008. The title is "Fight For What Belongs to You". The Scripture reading was 1st Samuel 30: 1-8. I credit the following source for making free copy and paste of Bible Scriptures available: HTMLBible Software - Public Domain Software by johnhurt.com. I'll be back later, I have a phone interview with a client:-)

Church Bulletins Introduction and Ongoing
- My life. I am constantly aware of God in my life and angels among us.
- Church bulletins. I have them scattered all over the place. I can't throw them away.
Pastor Felix is one of the most dynamic, straight forward Pastors I have ever met. He ties scripture together in a way that listeners can actually link it to today's living. They provide these high quality church bulletins with the back cover for taking notes. So, I take notes. The problem is, I can't throw them away. Since I have a tendency towards absentmindedness while I am thinking higher thoughts; the bulletins are scattered about my house, my car, my work area, my bags.
I do not have time to discuss them tonight, or this morning. But, I will record the date and topics which will not be in any logical order. When I said, "scattered about", I meant scattered about.
- August 3rd, 2008: Work in Me Lord
- August 13, 2008: Fight for What Belongs to You
- August 10, 2008: It's In the House
- August 31, 2008: Who's Really Against You
- Sept 07, 2008: Gather Your Blessings Before You Ask for More
- Sept 14, 2008: Building to Withstand the Storm
Let God Guide Your Steps and Have a Providential day.
