Good Morning!

I am in San Antonio visiting my sister and my mother. Patti has had a double Mastectomy and colon surgery at the same time. She has a long road of recovery. Her spirits are up, though she is tired and still in a lot of pain.

I am so grateful and appreciative of the many people who have been praying for her. Some people think, "if you pray once, its a done deal if you have faith." Well, I still hope that folks will continue praying because things change.

My prayer is this, "Heavenly Father, I adore you. I thank you so much for your obvious presence in our lives, and for the people you send to minister. I praise and glorify Jesus for Patti's recovery and that you have promised you will not give her more than she can bear. I thank you that I will see her being healthy and feeling healthy. I am grateful and thank you that I was able to visit Patti, mother, nephews--Jonathan and Mike. Thank you for adding spice to my life by all the interesting people I have encountered along the way. As I sit outside on a gloriously beautiful day, I thank you for my life and for the awesome creation of the air, sky, singing birds, wandering squirrels--and even those irritating barking dogs. Please guide my steps and my mind today, Lord, so that I may bless others and be that missing piece of the puzzle, appearing at the right place at the right time." Amen.

I picked up a random church bulletin:-). This one is dated May 4, 2008. The title is, "YOU might have to help..." These were my sparse notes (I must have been listening more than taking notes)
  • Anything that does not effect your destiny is your choice.
  • God is not offended when we apply reason and use intellect.

For some reason I noted these keys:
*Balance
*History Effects Destiny

In closing, Glory to God for another awesome day as an earth bound traveler:-)
